Rebirth of Stop Action
Yet another outgrowth of the advancement and sophistication of technology and media is the rebirth of Stop Action Movies. Digital cameras are becoming the calculator of our age, meaning that image capture is being include with anything the runs by battery. In addition to the abundance of image capture capacity is the development of user friendly video programs. Ranging for web-based slideshows to iMovie and Final Cut.
Stop Actions allow for high resolution moving pictures for those who don't have quality video camera, though "sound" is lost. Also, you can create special effects that would otherwise require minimal studio capabilities. This is allowing for a wide range of creativity to be expressed, and distributed via youtube, vimeo, etc.
Beyond individual initative, class projects and music videos are among the many that take advantage of the new old medium.
Hooray! - some worth while videos below.

Brooklyn - Naw Ruz - Photos
Even though it may not seem like it in many parts of the country, I hope you have enjoyed your first week of spring. In Seattle... it is raining, no surprise.
At the Brooklyn Naw Ruz Party we set up a mini photo shoot with costumes. Everyone had such a great spirit and jumped in, some people jumped in a lot. I thought it would go pretty good but people really seemed to love it. The whole party had a wonderful feeling about it. It was largely do to the warmth of the host - thanks Ladies.
